Prairie 54
A 747cc air-cooled, overhead-valve V-Twin does the work, and its commercial-grade air filter helps it breathe clean air when the lawn turns dry and dusty.
Each rear wheel has its own hydrostatic transmission, so the lap bars let you pivot around trees, fire pits and garden beds. Top forward speed is 7 mph (11.3 km/h).
The 54 in (137 cm) deck carries three blades and a reinforced leading edge, with six cutting heights between 1 and 4.5 in (2.5 to 11.4 cm).
Finish the back lawn after dinner or get going at first light, with two LED headlights showing the way when the daylight fades.
The 6 gal (22.7 L) tank is good for up to 4 acres (about 1.6 ha) per fill, so a big property doesn't mean constant stops at the gas can.
A cushioned, adjustable high-back seat and ergonomic lap bars keep long mows comfortable. The 20 in (50.8 cm) anti-turf rear tires hold soft ground and go easy on the grass when you pivot.
A 24 HP V-Twin zero-turn with a 54 in (137 cm) 7-gauge steel deck, dual hydrostatic drive and LED headlights, built for farms, rural homesteads, large lots and cabin properties with plenty of grass and only so many weekends to cut it.
We named this mower for the Prairies, where a lawn can roll on until it meets the sky. The Prairie 54 is a gas zero-turn for rural homesteads, farmyards, big suburban lots and cabin properties with more grass than free weekends. Its 54 in (137 cm) deck takes a wide bite on every pass, and zero-turn steering lets you swing around trees, sheds and garden beds without stopping to back up. When the mowing season runs from the first spring green-up to the first hard frost, a mower that covers this much ground gives you some of your summer back.
Power comes from a 747cc V-Twin rated at 24 HP. It's an air-cooled, overhead-valve, 4-cycle design, and its commercial-grade air filter is there for the dry, dusty cuts of late summer. Each rear wheel has its own hydrostatic transmission, so the two lap bars handle both speed and direction: push them forward together to track straight, or push one and pull the other to pivot in place. Top forward speed is 7 mph (11.3 km/h), which is plenty for the long, open runs out to the shelterbelt and back.
The deck is fabricated from 7-gauge steel, carries three blades across its full width and has a reinforced leading edge to shrug off the occasional bump. Six height positions span 1 to 4.5 in (2.5 to 11.4 cm), so you can keep things short and neat around the house and leave the grass longer out by the tree line. Dual LED headlights come in handy on those long June evenings when there's still lawn to finish after dinner, or for an early start before the heat builds.
Long sessions call for proper comfort, so the Prairie 54 gets a cushioned high-back seat that adjusts to fit you, plus ergonomic lap bars. Anti-turf tread on the 20 in (50.8 cm) rear tires helps it hold soft ground and go easy on the grass when you pivot. The 6 gal (22.7 L) tank is good for up to 4 acres (about 1.6 ha) between fill-ups, and it all sits on a welded frame of heavy-gauge steel. It ships by freight with free curbside delivery and is covered by our 3-year limited warranty.

FAQs
It's built for large lawns: rural homesteads, farmyards, big suburban lots and roomy cabin properties. The 54 in (137 cm) deck covers a wide strip with each pass, zero-turn steering gets you around trees and beds easily, and a full 6 gal (22.7 L) tank is good for up to 4 acres (about 1.6 ha).
Gasoline. The 747cc V-Twin is a 4-cycle engine, so fuel and engine oil are kept separate rather than premixed. Check the owner's manual for the recommended fuel grade and oil before the first start.
The Prairie 54 is covered by the Winnie's Depot 3-year limited warranty. The warranty terms set out what's included and any exclusions, so give them a read and keep your order number handy in case you ever need to make a claim.
Because of its size, the Prairie 54 travels by freight rather than by parcel carrier. Curbside delivery is free anywhere in the US, and the freight carrier calls ahead to book a delivery window with you.
